Matthew Perry's former Edwards star is speaking out following his tragic death.
Edwards, a former model and step-granddaughter of Julie Andrews, reportedly dated Perry in 2006.
In a recent interview, he claimed that the photo Perry shared on Instagram, could be a sign that he was not sober at the time of his death.
"I know Matthew and I know he wouldn't have drowned," he told the UK Sun on Saturday. "I think he may have been on pills for the week."
Perry was found drowned at her Los Angeles home on October 28. He was 54.

President Biden needed stage directions during a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during the Veterans Day observance at Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday.
Biden required assistance from a member of the Mausoleum's honor guard to place a large floral arrangement on a stand set up on the plaza in front of the Memorial to America's Missing and Unidentified War Dead.
He stepped back from the wreath and hesitated before making the sign of the cross over himself.
He backed away, turned around - and then came back and approached the officer again.
The military member motioned a gloved hand back to Vice President Kamala Harris, and the president returned his sign to his side.
